Last week I was suffering from a URI (urinary tract infection). The campus doctor prescribed me an antibiotic called Ciprofloxacin to clear up my infection. I was only told to take the medication for three days.
A week later I a tiny yellow bump in the back of my throat on the right of my tonsils. Also the middle part of my throat hurts when i swallow. Could this new issue be related to my UTI from last week?
I also have a lump on the right side of my throat. I had it checked 7 years ago but it proved to be nothing. My doctor told me to come back if it ever bothered me again. I'm not sure it my throat apin is connected to the lump by my throat.

I went to the doctor on Tuesday afternoon because I was feeling miserable since Saturday. Tired, sore bladder, urine leakage - signs of a UTI. The doctor examined me further and determined that it was definately a UTI and mild pyelonephritis. She put me onto Ciprobay (ciprofloxacin) 1g twice daily for 5 days, as well as an anti-inflammatory.

I am still extremely tired, sometimes nauseous and I would think that these are partly side-effects of the anti-biotic. Now it is Sunday and a week later (my course of antibiotics is not finished yet) and I'm still miserable. Tired, nauseous at times - it comes in waves, and I'm still tender over the kidney area. What now? Do I wait until the course of antibiotics are over? I dont really want to go to hospital as I dont really think its necessary. Where to from here?

Hi I saw my GP on monday and she tested my urine and did some bloods, had results today and I have pyelonephritis. She has prescribed me ciprofloxacin.
